MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!

Here is a story my mom sent me on e-mail. I really enjoyed it and I thought you would too.


The "W" in Christmas Each December, I vowed to make Christmas a calm and peaceful experience.I had cut back on nonessential obligations - extensive card writing, endless baking, decorating, and even overspending.Yet still, I found myself exhausted, unable to appreciate theprecious family moments, and of course, the true meaning ofChristmas.My son, Nicholas, was in kindergarten that year. It was an exciting season for a six year old.For weeks, he'd been memorizing songs for his school's "Winter Pageant."I didn't have the heart to tell him I'd be working the night of the production. Unwilling to miss his shining moment, I spoke with his teacher. She assured me there'd be a dress rehearsal the morning of the presentation.All parents unable to attend that evening were welcome to come then.Fortunately, Nicholas seemed happy with the compromise.So, the morning of the dress rehearsal, I filed in ten minutesearly, found a spot on the cafeteria floor and sat down. Around the room, I saw several other parents quietly scampering to their seats.As I waited, the students were led into the room. Each class,accompanied by their teacher, sat cross-legged on the floor. Then, each group, one by one, rose to perform their song.Because the public school system had long stopped referring to the holiday as "Christmas," I didn't expect anything other than fun, commercial entertainment songs of reindeer, Santa Claus, snowflakes and good cheer.So, when my son's class rose to sing, "Christmas Love," I wasslightly taken aback by its bold title.Nicholas was aglow, as were all of his classmates, adorned in fuzzy mittens, red sweaters, and bright snowcaps upon their heads.Those in the front row- center stage - held up large letters, one by one, to spell out the title of the song.As the class would sing "C is for Christmas," a child would hold up the letter C. Then, "H is for Happy," and on and on, until each child holding up his portion had presented the complete message, "Christmas Love."The performance was going smoothly, until suddenly, we noticed her; a small, quiet, girl in the front row holding the letter "M" upside down - totally unaware her letter "M" appeared as a "W".The audience of 1st through 6th graders snickered at this littleone's mistake. But she had no idea they were laughing at her, so she stood tall, proudly holding her "W".Although many teachers tried to shush the children, the laughter continued until the last letter was raised, and we all saw it together.A hush came over the audience and eyes began to widen.In that instant, we understood the reason we were there, why we celebrated the holiday in the first place, why even in the chaos, there was a purpose for our festivities.For when the last letter was held high, the message read loud and clear:
"C H R I S T W A S L O V E"
And, I believe, He still is.

YEA!!! 9 weeks are OVER!!! :)

AHHHHHHH!!

This week is nine week exams week at my school and I DON'T like tests!
Soooo, pray for me!! :)

VOLLEYBALL 2009

This year my sister and I are taking volleyball at the YMCA. I am really enjoying it I had practice last night. My games are on Fridays. :p

Oh My Goodness!! School (6th grade) starts tomorrow!!!!!!!!!! I'm very nervous!

but I'm mainly excited. :)

I'm bummed and excited; this year is the last of everything. It's the last of elementary school, the last of VBS, (oh VBS starts tonight (;) the last of youth camp(next year I'll go to the teen camp!) I'm just glad it's mot the end of Youth Conference!! I can't wait till next year.

Schools' OUT!!!

Last night my school had it's annual awards assembly. Our school has a Latin class that my sister and I are apart of. We had to recite some words and endings that we learned this year. I was so nervous!! but I got a certificate saying that I had completed my Latin course for this year. I also got a trophy entitled "SPIRIT 2009" its' SO cool. And I'm really excited and sad about next year because it will be my last year in elementary, but it also means I'm one step closer to jr. high!!

And here it is!!

As you know I did a countdown for Youth Conference. Well it's over now :( . I did not want to leave but it's good to be back!! I heard so many wonderful preachers like Tony Hudson from Tennessee, Mark Swanson (he was my favorite) from Illinois, Steve Roberson (i don't know where he is from), Brad Boruff President of GSBC, Jeremy Kobernat from California, Tim Trieber the host youth pastor, and Jack Trieber the host pastor. I love them all but Mark Swanson's message really touched me! I can't wait until next year!

PiZzA PIzZa PizZA

My school has a tradition of doing fundraising cards (so far). We sell Little Caesars (yes Caesars is spelled correctly) PIZZA cards. We didn't really participate last year but this year we really stepped it up a notch. We got second place!! We originally won a JVS camcorder. But when my teacher went to get it they were all gone . So instead we got $130 dollars which was the price of the camcorder, and we're gonna get season passes to Six Flags! I can't wait because school got out today( I go to a private Christian school) and we're hoping to go at least 4 times this summer! ttyl!!!!

Only three days to go!!

OMGOSH! Youth Conference is only three days away. And yes, I know this countdow is sort of dorky but hey, I'm excited!! :~)

I have zucchini!!

Yea!! Well we have a garden and I finally have a full grown zucchini! I'm so excited! my mom said I can probably pick it tomorrow!!

Youth Conference

Next year I'm going into sixth grade which means I get to go to Youth Conference. Youth Conference is a program when a bunch of teens meet up and listen to preaching, fellowship with each other, go to a Giants game, and go to Great America.This years theme is EMT (extra mile teens). I know CPR!!!

On Saturday my church had a CPR and First Aid training class. I'm so excited because I'm certified in CPR and First Aid.

Isn't God good!

I was thinking about how wonderful God is! All of the beautiful things He has created, like the beach. The beach is one of my favorite places! We go about four to six times a year. I can't wait to go again in August, I took the picture at Bodega. :)
